ABOUT US
Ilkka Hormila has worked in co-operation with the Search & Rescue dog handlers for decades and has been teaching ID- and SAR-search also for common dog owners. During his police K9-career of over 40 years Hormila worked for example at The Police Dog Training Centre as a teacher for K9 Scent Detection Unit training, tracking, search, ID-detection and Explosive and Arson and Cadaver detection dogs, and also served in operational duties with his own dogs. Hormila is internationally respected lecturer and trainer among the Officials and the SAR-dog and pet-dog handlers and works all over Europe and also in Asia and India and U.S.A.
His working method is based on the creation of low stress learning environments and positive methods on the use of protocols for planning and evaluating the training activity.

Our entire detection training program has been designed by Ilkka Hormila of Ilma Global K9 – Finland.
All trainers and handlers have been trained in low-stress handling by Ilkka Hormila.
All TSDK9s are certified to meet the highest standards of EDD capabilities, exceeding industry standards anywhere in the world.
Through Commando Kennels India, we have the rights to purchase and store explosives for K9 training enabling us to train all TSDK9s on live explosives.
